Wedjat Eye of Horus

Eye of Horus

Horus' eye

According to the Egyptian mythology, there were tow brother-gods Osiris(good) and Seth(Evil). The evil god(Seth) killed his brother(Osiris) and as a result Osiris' son (Horus) wanted to revenge for his father. One day Horus(falcon) faced his uncle Seth(jackal) in a battle in presence of god (Thoth). During the fighting Horus lost his left eye so god (Thoth) took the eye and healed it by magic. From this time the left eye of god (Horus) symbolizes the moon and his right eye symbolizes the sun. His eyes were called (Wedjat eyes) and were used for protection and healing.
