According to the Egyptian mythology, god (Osiris) was just a normal person and the first king of Egypt. He had an evil brother called Seth. At the end of his life his brother Seth killed him and destroyed his body into 42 pieces. Osiris' sister-wife (Isis) with her sister (Nyphtys) collected the pieces of Osiris, the gods gave life back to him again to be resurrected and he left the human world and moved to the underworld (kingdom of dead) to rule it and left the throne to his son Horus (falcon god). As a result of the resurrection Osiris skin was converted into green color forever as a symbol of rebirth, regeneration and vegetation.
